Biography
Ion Codreanu, MD, PhD, is affiliated with Houston Methodist Research Institute in Houston, Texas, United States. He completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.) degrees in Medical Imaging at the University of Oxford in England, followed by a Nuclear Medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a PET/CT fellowship at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. He is Board certified in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology, and previously served as an Associate Professor of Radiology at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu" in Chisinau, Moldova. Dr. Codreanu is the author of over 60 peer-reviewed publications and a book chapter, and his most-cited work examines the role of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in evaluating prostate adenocarcinoma with whole gland histopathology correlation.
