What it is
An optional publisher program
Membership is an optional arrangement with the publisher, taken up by researchers and institutions that publish regularly across the Open Access Pub journals. It is an administrative arrangement, covering billing and the publishing relationship.
Editorial decisions
Editorial independence
Manuscripts from members undergo the same independent editorial assessment and peer-review process as all other submissions.
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and editorial or reviewer roles.
Current terms
Asking about membership
Membership categories, the charges attached to them and any fee relief they carry are set by the publisher and are confirmed by the editorial office for the period in which an author intends to publish.
Write to [email protected] to ask what membership currently covers, what it costs and whether it suits your publishing plans. The office will confirm the terms that apply.
