01 · Routes

Three ways to submit

Each route reaches the same editorial office and the same editorial process. Choose whichever suits the submission.

  1. 01 Primary route — ManuscriptZone The publisher’s submission system, at oap.manuscriptzone.net. Use this where the submission has several files — manuscript, figures, supplementary material — or where you want to track its progress and handle revisions in one place.
  2. 02 Alternative route — simple submission form A short form at openaccesspub.org/manuscript-submission-form, which opens with the International Journal of Infection Prevention already selected. Use this for a straightforward submission, or where an account would be an obstacle.
  3. 03 Assisted route — editorial office Write to [email protected]. Authors who cannot use either system, or who would rather ask a question before submitting, are helped through it directly.

Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.

02 · Before you submit

What to have ready

Everything below is described in full in the instructions for authors; this is the short list to check against.

  • The manuscript in Word or LaTeX, with a structured abstract and keywords, and tables and figures at the end, each on its own page with a title and legend.
  • A title page carrying all authors, their affiliations and the corresponding author’s contact details — kept as a separate file if you are requesting double-blind review.
  • The reporting checklist for the study design, such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, ORION, SQUIRE, CARE, STARD or ARRIVE.
  • Ethics and consent details, with the approving committee and reference, and for an interventional trial the registry name, registration number and registration date.
  • A data-availability statement, with accession numbers or repository links, and any access restriction described together with the route to request the data.
  • Declarations of competing interests, funding with grant identifiers, and any use of generative AI in preparing the manuscript.
