Biography
Mudassar Mughal, MSc, is a Research Intern at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan, having completed graduate studies at Huazhong Agriculture University. His research encompasses diverse areas of veterinary and biomedical science, including parasitology, infectious diseases, toxicology, and comparative genomics. Notable contributions include his work on the functional characterization of Schistosoma japonicum riok-1, published in 2021 as his most-cited study, as well as investigations into mitochondrial genome analysis of digeneans, feline hemotropic mycoplasma, and clinical case reports spanning wildlife and companion animal medicine. His publications address both fundamental biological questions, such as lithium's role as an essential or toxic element, and practical veterinary challenges, including antiviral immunity in the central nervous system and treatment protocols for parasitic and metabolic disorders in diverse species.
