Full Professor of Hygiene and Public Health - School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Bari-Aldo Moro, Department of Interdisciplinary Medicine-Hygiene Section. Ph.D. in “Infectious Diseases Sciences”. Second-Level Master in “E-learning applied to Health sciences and ICT in Medicine”. Degree in Biological Sciences (with full mark and honor) at the University of Bari. Specialization in Clinical Pathology. Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology and Public Health of UOC Igiene, Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Consorziale, Policlinico Hospital of Bari. Interdepartmental program assignment “Epidemiology and molecular diagnostics aimed at surveillance of infectious diseases of public health significance”. Major areas of research include epidemiology, public health, surveillance, vaccines, vaccine effectiveness, and molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases. Responsible for many surveillances and activities in the Puglia Regional Epidemiologic Observatory. Collaboration with grants from MIUR and the Ministry of Health. Author and/or co-author of many research papers in international and national peer-reviewed journals. From 2012 to 2014 General Secretary of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (S.It.I.).
