Biography
Christophoros Foroulis is a Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Kentriki Makedonia, Greece, specializing in thoracic surgery. His research encompasses a broad range of topics in thoracic surgical oncology and cardiothoracic care, including lymphatic metastatic spread in non-small cell lung cancer, management of superior sulcus tumors, thymic neoplasms, and advanced bronchoscopic techniques for lung cancer diagnosis and staging. He has also investigated perioperative complications, cardiac rhythm disturbances following pneumonectomy, and hemodynamic changes after major lung resections. His most-cited work is a prospective randomized controlled trial on the efficacy of early and enhanced respiratory physiotherapy and mobilization after on-pump cardiac surgery, published in 2021.
