Biography
Abdolreza Jahanbakhshi is a researcher at the Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute (IFSRI) whose work focuses on fish physiology, nutrition, and toxicology in aquaculture species. His research encompasses hematological and biochemical responses to environmental stressors, including heavy metals and petroleum products, as well as nutritional interventions using feed additives and prebiotics in species such as grey mullet, sturgeon, common carp, and goldfish. His most-cited publication, "Selenium nanoparticle and selenomethionine as feed additives: effects on growth performance, hepatic enzymes' activity, mucosal immune parameters, liver histology, and appetite-related gene transcript in goldfish (Carassius auratus)" (2021), has received 48 citations and exemplifies his contributions to understanding micronutrient supplementation in fish health and immunity. His body of work addresses critical challenges in sustainable aquaculture through investigations of stress physiology, immune function, and alternative protein sources in fish diets.
